I was planning to set up 9V. We should have 2 or 3 loops. We can run both platforms.

Re: 2021 Rockville Lions Train Show Final Results

Yes indeed - I got to play with Lego trains and see other model trains, people got to see cool trains and a worthy charity got some money.

Thank you Lloyd for putting this one together.

Hi All,

Thank you for an excellent train show! We ended up with 406 attendees total over the two days. That’s a nice increase over the last few years. After we pay out all expenses we should clear about $2,000 for our charitable programs. The Rockville Lions will use 100% of the proceeds from this train show to help give preschoolers vision screening, eye exams for underprivileged Rockville residents, scholarships for underprivileged Rockville youths at Montgomery College and books for children at Twinbrook Elementary School.

Year after year your participation in our train show has changed lives for many people. We greatly appreciate your help over the years!

Thank you again and we’re excited about 2022!

Happy Holidays to all,

Subject: 2021 Rockville Lions Train Show

Hi Everybody,

The Rockville Lions Club 30th Annual Train Show is less than a week away! We’re excited that we can do everything we did in previous years with 2 exceptions: the City of Rockville has a mask mandate in all government buildings. The Senior Center is a government building so all need to wear masks while indoors (except eating and drinking). The other exception is limits on room occupancy. I don’t think that will a problem, the smaller rooms are 15-20 people at any given time and up to 75 people in the large room.

We will have doughnuts and coffee/tea for you Saturday and Sunday morning.
Lunch will be provided both days.

Our set-up schedule is the same as every year:

Friday: Set-up 5pm – 9pm
Saturday: Set-up 7:30am – 10am
Show 10am – 4pm
Sunday: Set-up 10am – 12noon
Show 12noon- 4pm
Clean-up 4pm – 8pm

Please let me know if you have any questions.

See you Friday evening!

All,
Regretfully, the city of Ranson has canceled the event. The event organizers are searching for a new venue, but it won't be until next year most likely. I apologize for any inconveniences this may cause.

Re: Rockville Lions Club Train Show Flyer

Lloyd Rombold

Hi Chuck and everyone else,
Set up will be Friday night (11/12/21) between 5:00PM and 9:00PM and Saturday morning (11/13/21) from 7:30 until the show begins at 10:00AM. The show runs from 10:00AM until 4:00PM on Saturday and between 12:00 noon and 4:00PM Sunday.

The Rockville Senior Center resembles an elementary school and the room we will be in is about the size of a classroom. In the past we pushed tables together to get an area to set up out display. In the past we had an area that measured about 8 feet by 15 feet and a second area that measured about 10 feet by 6 feet. I anticipate doing the same thing again this year. I will be bringing track and power along with some baseplates to cover the table surface. I plan to have 3 loops of 9v and one outer loop of RC track.

If you want to see what we did in the past please click on this link: https://wamaltc.org/show_20181110.html.

Thanks,
Lloyd
